Trade Secrets Seminar

This seminar will examine the law that governs the protection of trade secrets and other confidential information. This body of law is of increasing importance and will be changing greatly over the next decade. The goal of the seminar is to get a sense of where trade secret law has been and where it is going given the passage of the federal trade secrets statute. We will also examine the linkages between trade secret, patent law, and cybercrime. Most of the reading for the seminar will consist of trade secret case law, to be supplemented by some interdisciplinary readings on trade secrecy protection.
