Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Law
This course examines the evolving ways in which the law constructs and regulates sex, sexuality, gender identity, and sexual orientation. It explores LGBTQ constitutional, statutory, and regulatory rights. Many areas involve significant ongoing legal disputes, including religious freedom and nondiscrimination laws; the rights of transgender and gender-nonconforming people; and connections between reproductive rights and LGBTQ rights. This is a Research Writing course.
