Federalist Papers
The Federalist Papers, written chiefly by Alexander Hamilton and James Madison, have been called the most important reflections on government and politics ever penned by Americans. They are frequently cited in Supreme Court opinions and by legal commentators. This seminar will involve a close reading of the leading numbers of the Federalist Papers, as well as of several Anti-Federalists.
