Certificate Programs

Tax Certificates
While enrolled in the Tax Program, full-time, part-time, joint degree, and non-degree students can choose to earn a certificate in one of four substantive areas of taxation: Corporate Tax, International Tax, Tax Controversy, and Wealth Transfer and Legacy Planning. To receive a certificate, the student would need to take 10 credits of the following courses:
Corporate Tax
- Corporate Reorganizations
- Corporate Taxation (required course)
And three of the following four courses:
- Taxation of Debt Instruments and Other Transactions
- Consolidated Returns
- Tax Aspects of Private Equity Transactions
- Executive Compensation
International Tax
- Advanced International Corporate Tax Problems
- International Taxation of Partnerships
- International Tax (required course)
And two of the following four courses:
- Controlled Foreign Corporations
- Tax Treaties
- United States Transfer Pricing
- European Union Taxation
Tax Controversy
- Investigation, Prosecution, and Defense of Tax Crimes
- State and Local Tax
- Tax Audits, Appeals, and Litigation
- Tax Procedure
- United States Transfer Pricing
- Tax Policy
- Taxation of Structured Real Estate Investment

Wealth Transfer and Legacy Planning
