Biography

Professor Brown is a Lecturer and the Director of Judicial Clerkships at Northwestern University School of Law.  She counsels students who are interested in judicial clerkships, builds relationships with judges, and teaches specialized legal writing courses and other programs to ensure that students are well-prepared for clerking.  Before joining the law school faculty, Professor Brown clerked in the Seventh Circuit staff attorney's office and for the Honorable Sheila Finnegan in the Northern District of Illinois, as well as having private firm and government agency practice experience in Chicago and New York.  She also taught Appellate Advocacy at Loyola Law School for four years.
